Research into business card designs

I started by looking on Pinterest for some business card design ideas, here is a link to my Pinterest board https://www.pinterest.co.uk/becca4797/business-card/

From that I found a few design ideas from these cards.

1-6 from left to right, on each line.

1. I like how the sofood title is in large lettering in the very centre of the business card, with small sub title under it because it draws attention to the important word and gives more information in smaller writing if you want to read more. I like how neat it looks with the boarder around it, the gold gives the impression of high quality.

2. I like this one for similar reasons as the first one. I feel it being monochrome makes it look classy/professional but considering it's advertising a fashion designer, I am surprised there is not colours used to show the creative flare of the designer.

3. This card design caught my eye because of the colourful pattern, yet my favourite part of it is the hexagon with the name written inside which is bold enough to stand out against the pattern behind. I also really like the hexagon being repleated on the other side of the business card, and the line seperating the white and the pattern on the right of the card. it shows a clear style on both sides but being adjusted so the back can also fit the information on, in a clear way.

4. I included this business card because I was impressed with the cleaver use of folding to create a relevant shape of a flower bouquet. It would be interesting to incorporate a unique shape in my business card but it may be useful to keep it standard size.

5. I like the glossed lines on this business card, as it adds interest and clearly shows the design but without needing to add colour. I think the monochrome looks professional on this one without looking boring.

6. This business card is one of the most minimalistic I found. I like how the M in the centre is printed on side and embossed the other side in the exact some place. I think the text is too small, some people may have trouble reading it.
