I first looked into different design layouts of work on brochures and CVs to see whats out there and get inspiration for my CV to be eye catching. I viewed many examples on Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.co.uk/becca310396/cv-designs/
here are some I commented on:

I liked the repeating pattern on it because it ties all the pages together, as well as the neat square text boxes keeping the pages consistent, however the graphics take up a lot of space that I would have to use to show my work.
This one caught my eye because the text overlaying images looked very smart to me. The slightly muted colours and use of white space as well as the images stops it from being too busy and instead the text and graphics share the attention of the page which is good for a design CV as I will want to show information and images in equal measure.
In this leaflet, I appreciate the simplicity of the colours and how the pages are very balanced. I would personally use a brighter colour pallets to attract more attention.
Again what drew my to this one was the balance of colours to white space and symmetry. I love symmetry because it's easy on the eye which makes people more likely to read. The only problem with this example is that there is not much space for text, I would have to adjust the ratio
On these, I like the solid colour so it doesn't distract from the content. I think the fact an image is partially revealed on the right could encourage people to open the leaflet to see more and it adds interest to the front without sacrificing the plain background for the title.
I find the folding method really interesting, as it is small while laying flat so useful to carry, and then extends when picked up so a lot of information can be added. However with each page being a small square it will be very easy to overload the space, you couldn't fit an image and text together on one square.
